Srishti Goyal

Hello!

I am an Economic Modeller at E3-Modelling S.A., a Ricardo PLC company, in Athens, where I work on macroeconomic assessments of sustainability, trade, and climate policy using the GEM-E3 model. My work contributes to evidence-based policymaking that supports a just and sustainable transition.

I hold a Maire Curie PhD in Economics from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Spain, where my dissertation “Essays on Climate Change and its Distributional Impacts: CO₂ Emissions Transmission in an Integrated Global Economic System” was awarded Excellent ‘Cum Laude’. My research employs Environmentally Extended Multi-Regional Input–Output (EE-MRIO) models to examine the transmission of CO₂ emissions through international trade and its sectoral and distributional implications.

Following my PhD, I worked with the Universitat de Barcelona on projects linking environmental indicators with macroeconomic sustainability assessments. Earlier in my career, I worked with UNESCO MGIEP and Young Lives Indiacontributing to projects in education, health, and child protection, and gaining hands-on experience in mixed-method research and stakeholder engagement across government, NGOs, and international organisations.

Beyond research, I serve on the Editorial Board of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Newsletter, helping strengthen science communication and support early-career researchers. As Youth Board Secretary of Wavemakers United Foundation, I work at the intersection of water, climate, and education, amplifying youth-led voices in sustainability.

Across all my roles, I remain committed to advancing research that bridges science and policy and ensuring that rigorous evidence informs action toward equitable and sustainable development.
